Nature Morte
This still life painting depicts a table setting consisting of bananas, a pineapple, a melon, two limes, three clementines, a pepper grinder and a pair of glasses. The artist draws his narrative scenes and characters from both his imagination and from real-world observation—including television and the internet. Tessier created this work in his signature style by applying casein paint directly to a primed metal sheet. The result is a low-luster sheen that highlights every brushstroke.
