Neil Hamamoto is a conceptual artist who works in sculpture, painting, photography, and installation. His art utilizes a range of materials and fabrication techniques and centers around themes of mass consumption, capitalism, language, social systems, and humanity's failures. His work uncovers the deeper meaning behind everyday things and often recontextualizes commercially manufactured objects, giving them new life.

Neil Hamamoto was born in 1993 in New York, NY. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Product Design from Stanford University in Stanford, CA.

His work has been exhibited at JO-HS in Mexico City, Mexico (2023); Room 57 Gallery in New York, NY (2021); Puro in La Paz, Bolivia (2021); Nonfinito in Sag Harbor, NY (2018); and elsewhere.

Hamamoto has participated in residencies at JO-HS in Mexico City, Mexico, and Google in New York, NY.

Since 2018, Neil has been heavily dedicated to a social art practice by starting WORTHLESSSTUDIOS, a Brooklyn-based arts not-for-profit with the mission of supporting emerging artists with studio space, tools, and technical assistance.
