Moto-Tunel Dip
In this work, the front wheel of a motorcycle dips into the waters of an eerie cistern, lit by the beam of a powerful headlight. Cool blues and greens color a cavernous, crypt-like atmosphere, into which a large nose-like shape is being borne.
Michael Gac Levin's work evokes the mystery and intensity of childhood. At the core of the artist's work is a lighthearted, diaristic drawing practice guided by repetition and humor. Levin rides a wobbly line down into memory to find images that speak both to present predicaments and an uncertain future.
