The Lovers (Version 1 and 2) are the first in a larger series of machine-formed PLA wall works depicting prehistoric skeletal remains that suggest couple burials or “bisomes”. These kinds of unique archeological discoveries have become popularly known as “Lovers” skeletons. Rosenblum recreates these famous images on small plates, which, when assembled together, comprise the true to life scale of the body it depicts. With this series, Rosenblum explores a longstanding interest in understanding precision as a vector for love and connection to the absolute.
