Belynda Henry is one of Australia’s leading and most celebrated landscape painters, and her fascination with the Australian landscape continues to be the primary inspiration for her art. Working in a long, lush valley in New South Wales, Australia, Henry is always absorbing nature’s sights, sounds, colors, and light, allowing her to meditate on her medium by incorporating those impressions into her vibrant, modern, and uniquely visceral artworks.

Belynda Henry was born in 1973 in New South Wales, Australia, and currently resides in Lemon Tree, New South Wales, Australia. She received her Bachelor of Visual Arts from the Sydney College of the Arts at the University of Sydney in Sydney, Australia.

Henry has mounted recent solo exhibitions at OLSEN GRUIN in New York City, NY (2020); Australian Galleries in Sydney, Australia (2019); and Flinders Lane Gallery, Melbourne, Australia (2019).

She has also been featured in numerous group shows, including the 2019 King’s Art Prize, Sydney, Australia (2019); Abstraction, Australian Galleries, Melbourne, Australia (2019); and Now and Then, Australian Galleries, Sydney, Australia (2019).

Heny has won many awards for her work, such as the Highly Commended Award in the Wyong Art Show’s open section (2004), First place in the Wyong Art Show’s Open Award (2003), and First Place at Artscrawl—Landscape Award (2002). She has also been featured in publications such as The Herald Weekender (2021), Vogue (2020), RUSSH (2020), and The Design Files (2016).
