The last time you saw Aubrey Plaza was likely when she was in Sicily, vying against Jennifer Coolidge as everyone’s favorite in The White Lotus season 2. Now, Plaza can be found in quite a different location: Off Broadway, in a revival of John Patrick Shanley’s 1983 play Danny and the Deep Blue Sea that marks her theatrical debut. Christopher Abbott joins her as one of two strangers who strike up a relationship after a chance encounter at a dive bar in the Bronx. The pair has undeniable chemistry, as first established when Plaza hit a “career high” when starring opposite Abbott in the indie film Black Bear.
