① Artwork:

Golden Mantle

This painting explores the enchantment present in ordinary, quiet scenes. This work simultaneously captures and contemplates an unexpected moment of bliss where everyday life seems filled with ephemeral perfection. The implicit nostalgia in this composition allows the artist to explore how the commonplace—as well as reminiscences of such moments—can bring people together.

Treppendahl’s paintings of interiors rarely include figures, yet the artist imbues each work with a sense of life alongside stillness—as though someone has just walked out of the room. Treppendahl uses light as a tool for abstraction, creating colorful compositions where shapes and shadows serve as a playground for paint and pattern.
