Dan Miller is one of Creative Growth’s most widely known artists. He works ambidextrously, using both hands to create densely layered paintings and works on paper. Miller has a rich practice that features thick clouds of words, numbers, lines, symbols, and colors aggregated into a central mass.

Dan Miller was born in 1961 in Castro Valley, CA, and has been a Creative Growth artist since 1992.

Miller has had solo exhibitions at White Columns in New York, NY; Andrew Edlin Gallery in New York, NY; Ricco Maresca Gallery in New York, NY; and Diane Rosenstein Gallery in Los Angeles, CA.

His work has been included in group exhibitions at the 2017 Venice Biennale; the Berkeley Art Museum in Berkeley, CA; The Museum of Everything in London, UK; Gavin Brown’s Enterprise in New York, NY; Rachel Uffner Gallery in New York, NY; Gallery Paule Anglim in San Francisco, CA; Nina Johnson Gallery in Miami, FL; the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, WI; Galerie Christian Berst in Paris, France; and elsewhere.
