Tomo Campbell's abstracted forms are fluid and suggestive, blending figuration with layers of textured brushstrokes to form dramatically singular images. By balancing activity with stasis and confidence with doubt, these artworks occupy a fertile space somewhere between the known and the undiscovered. With each of his paintings evolving from a predecessor, Campbell evokes the subconscious by not necessarily knowing which elements will reoccur and in what way.
