Diego Villarreal Vagujhelyi is a photographer and multi-disciplinary artist living and working in New York City. Born in Madrid, Villarreal was exposed to an Old World cultural environment that shaped his artistic development. Diego began his career in fashion as a model—a time when he was able to hone his craft behind the camera. As the still image is not without limitations, Villarreal began exploring other forms of expression through sculpture and printmaking. He is the designer and creative director of Vagujhelyi, founded in 2022. His Vagujhelyi 20lb solid stainless steel weights, premiered with Sized Studio during Frieze NYC in 2022.
